Electric Zoo: Evolved Delivers a Flawless Festival Experience on Randall's Island
Randall’s Island hosted Electric Zoo: Evolved from August 30 - September 1, and the electronic dance music festival knocked it far out of the decorated park. It’s the eleventh year that E-Zoo delivered a festival that promotes inclusivity, eye-opening fashion, and all-around positive vibes.
Tens of thousands of fans from all over the world gathered in New York City to experience countless DJs spin their finest tunes, feast on delicious eats, and enjoy beautifully gifted weather that was a true blessing to the sacred festival grounds. The EDM community didn’t have to worry about muddy shoes this year as they shuffled their way across the four stages. The main stage looked particularly exquisite at E-Zoo, as spectators and onlookers took notice of the slick production values that showcased the headliners in all of their glory.
Armin Van Buuren, Zedd, Cash Cash, Kaskade, Afrojack, Whipped Cream, and even NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal (just call him DJ Diesel) put on masterfully crafted clinics, and had their colossal crowds in the palms of their energetic hands. The diverse ravers swayed to what the DJs were blasting as trance, progressive house, tech house, techno, electro, and more were represented over the course of three berserk days. The festival’s All My Friends stage also saw b2b performances that tore the house down.
Peace, love, unity, and respect reigned supreme as attendees followed the holy PLUR commandments throughout New York City’s favorite electronic music festival. High-fives were abundant, as were tasteful compliments on outfit choices. New friends and stylish acquaintance were made as festival-goers exchanged creative kandi bracelets. In a heartwarming, behind-the-scenes moment that had to be seen to be believed, Destructo was spotted having a friendly conversation with the Big Mozz food vendors. If that uplifting exchange doesn’t embody PLUR, nothing does.
New York City is already counting down the days for next year’s highly anticipated E-Zoo. Music & Mojitos thinks there’s no better way to celebrate the end of summer than experiencing the distinct EDM festival that was first established in 2009.
From out-of-this-world extraterrestrials to Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Electric Zoo: Evolved hosted a variety of guests that are already dearly missed. Forever in our hearts, the fond memories of E-Zoo 2019 will live on, and get us through the upcoming cold nights ahead on the East Coast.
