We're Throwing All of Our Dollars at this Lemaitre Remix of Electric Guest's Summer Track
Summer isn’t over, and this latest remix from Lemaitre of Electric Guest’s “Dollar” proves it.
The vibrant lyric video dropped on Friday, and the bold and bright colors will make you want to dash to your jam-packed bedroom closet to start putting together your best neon-inspired outfits for upcoming electronic music festivals like E-Zoo and the Clubhouse Festival. Music & Mojitos thinks this is a remix that you have to bunker down with this weekend to keep the good vibes rolling into the sizzling weeks ahead.
Electric Guest is currently building up to their anticipated Atlantic Records debut in October. The talk of the town is that Asa Taccone and Matthew "Cornbread" Compton’s album will see modern pop being presented through their own unique perspective. There is little reason to doubt that, as the Norwegian indie electronic duo recently joined forces with pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen to write and co-produce “Feels Right (Feat. Electric Guest).” Hey, it shouldn’t sound crazy that venues have been calling to definitely book the guys. No maybes here with that kind of track record.
It's not the first time Electric Guest teamed with a major act, either. Previously, Electric Guest’s Asa Taccone earned a prestigious Grammy award for co-writing and co-producing Portugal. The Man’s worldwide hit single, “Feel It Still.”
Lemaitre’s known for being remix kings in their own right. Their previous scorching remix discography includes Passion Pit, Porter Robinson, and Martin Solveig. Talk about a list of red hot names. Lemaitre’s Ketil Jansen and Ulrik Denizou Lund released their first EP Chapter One, on June 2, 2017 to both critical and fan acclaim.
"Dollar" has been heating up the industry since last month. The original version of the song caught the attention of Billboard. Billboard proclaimed, “Electric Guest have made an eclectic return with feel-good anthem, ‘Dollar.’"
Electric Guest will be returning to the Big Apple on October 15 at Rough Trade Records in Brooklyn. Stay hyped, and get ready to flash your dollar bills. Just don’t spend it all in one day now.
