Lo Key Embarks on a Quest for Self-Discovery With Debut EP 'More To Life'

Lo Key Embarks on a Quest for Self-Discovery With Debut EP 'More To Life'

In life, we all experience a point in time where we have no choice but to do a bit of soul searching, and seriously find ourselves in the complicated process. Tastemaker Lo Key is currently at one such crossroads with his debut EP, More To Life.

For Lo Key, there’s a lot of pressure to succeed with his new release, which first premiered on EDM Identity. The DJ previously racked up over 1.3 million streams across different social media platforms in just under three months. If you’re talking about a hot streak, former world heavyweight champion Bill Goldberg has nothing on Lo Key.

With fans hitting that play button like there’s no tomorrow, it was only a matter of time before his fellow peers in the industry took notice. Living legend and EDM festival headliner Steve Aoki has shown Lo Key major love through Dim Mak Records, too. Not only that, but he played alongside guys like Marshmello and Ookay. That’s a pretty nifty accomplishment if you ask Music & Mojitos.

While all of Lo Key’s achievements sound fine and dandy, it didn’t come without the blood, sweat, and tears that only a producer could possibly understand. That’s where More To Life comes into play. The EP is a demonstration that even through uncertain turmoil, there’s a light that guides you to brighter and better days ahead.

More To Life tells Lo Key’s story in a captivating grand fashion that relentlessly pulls listeners in. “Lonely Road” features iamrac and Taha Saadi, and the track will make you realize that taking the road less traveled isn’t all fun and games. You can feel the hurt that Lo Key experienced along his search for electronic superstardom on this production.

On “Maybe,” you get a sense that things can potentially turn around for the producer. The track is the “to be continued” that gets the audience to come back every time. Finally, “High Note” is the celebration that festival goers live for. “High Note” will make you dive into your closet and break out your light up shoes with the quickness. It’s the sweet cherry on top for the EP, and shows the potential that Lo Key is currently unlocking.

You know the drill. Since it’s New Music Friday, get to giving Lo Key’s More To Life a complete listen; you’ll walk out a changed person.

If you enjoyed Lo Key’s ‘More To Life,’ Music & Mojitos thinks you’ll also dig Zack Martino’s “Mood,” HARBER’s “More Than You,” and Sensu’s “Listen.”
