Art-Disco is Alive and Well with "Armed and Dangerous" by Chaos Chaos

Sisters just get each other like nobody else’s business. Asya and Chloe Saavedra of Chaos Chaos are on the same page when it comes to their newest release, “Armed and Dangerous.”

The groovy, danceable track is the art-disco song that is going to make New York City boogie down if Music & Mojitos has anything to say about it. The synthpop sisterhood of the traveling sounds are taking you back in time with a new, modern, emotional twist that will absolutely get you on your feet this weekend. Check out the track below and try telling us otherwise. We’ll wait.

If “Armed and Dangerous” is making you break out in a sweat, have no fear. You aren’t the only ones. Cool down with a tasty mojito as you think about this little factoid—Asya and Chloe created this song while they stayed in a desert. Who can really say that they hate the rain now?

“At the time I was reading The Art Of War and a sort of cheesy book on mindfulness. The two reminded me of these inevitable polar opposites in life, but I wanted to combine them—zen and war, peace and chaos,” says Asya in a recent press release. “The song is about relinquishing control and removing armor, and the new way the world looks after doing this.”

Hey, painting the mental picture of what Asya describes, that’s a world that Music & Mojitos seriously wants to be a part of. “Armed and Dangerous” is sexy and vibrant. It makes you drop your intuition and just roll with the punches. If only we could force corporate drones to listen to the song on repeat. That way, the utopia that Asya created would actually be attainable for all. In the meantime, let’s all do our best by getting down with the song. Baby steps, people. In the famous words of Neil Armstrong, “That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

Yes, Music & Mojitos just compared “Armed and Dangerous” to the historic moon landing. It’s hard not to do so because the Saavedra sisters have a colorful appearance that’s out of this world. We’re not the only fans of this outrageous pair, either. According to Uproxx, Kanye West wanted a special birthday gift from Chaos Chaos in the form of a one-of-a-kind birthday song. Who’s going to honestly debate the great and all-powerful Yeezus?

You can check out their unique show in person as they have a couple of bi-coastal tour dates lined up throughout the month of May. New Yorkers can catch Chaos Chaos when they hit the Market Hotel in Brooklyn on May 25.

Before you get the party started this weekend, Music & Mojitos also thinks you’ll like new music from Lo Key!
